Ambulatory endoscopic treatment of symptomatic benign endometrial polyps: a feasibility study

Study sample Power calculations to determine the sample size were not conducted. All eligible women referred during 1999 to the study centre were enrolled into the study. There were 31 women in the outpatient group and 27 women in the inpatient group. It was not stated whether any patient refused to participate or was excluded for any reason from the initial study sample. The mean age of those included in the final sample was 57 years (range: 45 79) in the outpatient group and 53 years (range: 41 64) in the inpatient group.
